Zombers

I like to play zombies or how i like to call it zombers with me, my brother, and a a few friends we usually do really good and the highest round we made it to was 109 i was real intense. The map we were playing was origins.

My Faverite Things

Mrs.Debolt is the best teacher ever! She is always haveing the same hair do everyday. She is a technolegy teacher. I like moving cookies and the cookie monster. He is blue and have big eyes and loves cookies. I also like burgers but not as much as cookies.

9/11 was a event were the twin towers were bombed by terist. This happen 13 years a go and i was at the age of  4 months. I don't really know what happen all i know that the twin towers was bombed.

My bestfriend

My best friend is Audrey Self. She is my best friend because I can always count on her and she can put a smile on my face when im upset. I've been knowing Audrey for 4 years now. We met in 4th grade because she rode my bus, but we weren't that close. We started becoming bestfriends in the 6th grade and still are today. I love how she dosn't care what others think about her. I know that she will always be my bestfriend and I don't know what I would do without her.

Children and allowence

I think that parents should give children allowence when they behave good and complete their chores. I think that beacuse if you give a kid allowenece when they didn't complete their chores then they will stop doing it and think they deserve to get paid. If the kid behaves bad and gets paid the kid will think that he can behave like that all the time. If you only give allowence when they behave good and complete chores then they will keep doing it. Also, kids love it when they do good and get rewarded. All you have to say is you will pay them and they will do it.

My favorite horror movie.

  My favorite horror movie so far is Nightmare on Elm Street. I havent seen a lot of horror movies lately. I like Nightmare on Em Street because it's not one of those movies where I know what is going to happen next. I only seen the new version I never seen the old version. In the new one it dosnt look relistic, but I still like that movie. Also, I acutally got what the movie was about. Like some horror movies I don't understand what the whole move is about.

What i'm doing this summer vacation
This summer vacation i am going to Nashville. I,ve been waiting to go to Nashville for a while now. We are going around the end of July since my sister is trying out for American Idol. I hope she can at least make it to round 1. She is a very good singer, but she is shy. Another thing about Nashville their are tons of museums too check out. Their is the Elivs museum and the Johnny Cash muesum. Also, to just get out of my house and go somewhere fun. The last time I went on vacation was 4 years ago at Orlando, Florida.

Kid Nation 6

    They use Primary Group in this episode because in the green team they all support each other. When they were about to vote laura asked will anyone outvote me they all said no and hugged eachother. In the green team they all get along and come together. Compareed to the yellow team they do not cometogether at all and all they do is fight. Also, the red team and the blue team work together, but they still have minor fights.

     They also use Conflict because in all the teams their are all conflicts. In the yellow team Taylor and Zach are fighting to be a council. On the red team Mike and one of the kids are going against each other and they both really want it. Then a kid from the red team took down taylors poster and runied it. All the kids who helped with the poster started crying and Greg came in and help make the girls stop crying.

    Also, they used Social Exchange because the town seems like its about to be ruined. Everyone has been fighting and wont get along. Then everyone is fighting to be a coucil or get the gold star. People are ruining peoples poster and ruining there stand. Next, people are made if you are selling food if you are already upper class.

Kid Nation 7

        First, thing that they use is Social Sancations because some people know about the gold star and only working just for the gold star. Like Divad she is only selling potatos and cleaning just because she wants the gold star to be a doctor. Divad also put up posters to tell people too vote for her. Then some other kid is also just working hard for the same thing. But they don't know is you have to work hard for the good not just for the gold star.

      Another thing they use is Deviance because Taylor dosnt like to follow the rules. Since Taylor didn,t ever work she had to do punishmients. They told her to help clean up the garbage and she refused to do it. Then, the town was running out of water so they told her to fill the water up by her self and she still refused. Ever since she got voted of being a council leader she refuses everything they say.

     Also, they used Positive Deviance because Divad goes way too far to try and win the gold star. Divad has been finding every other way to get that gold star. She has been selling food and making posters. Also, she has been voting for herself and briding other people to vote for her. Then, telling council that she's been working hard and telling them she deserves it more than anyone else.

Kid Nation 5

    One thing they use is Master Status because everyone has diffrent beleifs. Some people are Christians,Catholic,Jews and Atheist. Also, to some people religion is an important thing to them and show who they are. In this episode they decided to go by and fire and pray and they came together. They all told everyone how much this town brought them together and they don't want this town to seperate.

    Also, they use Obligation because everyone has a job to do. There is the upper class who don't have to do anything but they can choose to help. Then, there is the merchants who work behind the counter and work at the shops. Next, there was the cooks who have to do the dishes and cook each meals for everyone. Then, there is the labors who do all the dirty work and carry the water.

     They also use Ascribed Statues because when they get rewards the conucil choose not the people. When they had to choose either golf course or holy books. The councils chose the holy books because religion is more important than a golf course. In the 3nd episode the coucils had too choose between pizza or microwave and the council chose microwave. The councils always choose the decision not the people the people go by the rules.

President of Uruguay

I think that it is really cool how he did that because their is a lot of people out their that need help. Also, when do you ever seen a President give 12,500 to charity and only keep 1,250 do that never you have to be real kind hearted to do that. Hes not poor because hes not just working for the lifestyle hes working to help charity and do his job.

What bugs me!!!!

       What bugs me is when people talk with food in their mouths. Also, when people are about to offend me  but, before they do they say no offense. I also, hate it when people will joke around and say there is a spider. Then, I  don't like it when i'm walking down the hall and people will step on my shoes, I mean just go around me. Those are some things that bug me.

Kid Nation 4

                They use Social Dynamics because Greg keeps changing his acts. In the beginning he was nice and helping out with everything. Then, he was a hard worker trying to go for a gold star. After they didn't give him a gold star he started being mean and acting all mad.

               Also, they use Culture because none of these kids do not to know how to live a pioneer life. When they first get their they have to learn how to make their own food and do chores. Also, they all have to work together and bring back the town. The kids have to be taught how pioneers lived their lives back then.


              They do use Norm because all the kids have to follow the rules and have good behavior. Like you have to follow the rule that says no staying up later than 9:30. Also, you have to do your job depending what class you are in. You have to respect the councils and go by their rules.

Kid Nation 3

         They use society in the show because they all are from different states and all states act differently depending on where you live. All the kids have different cultures and different lifestyles. For example, some people are animal lovers and don't want to kill the chicken. Then, the kids are all going crazy over the chicken because they don't want to hurt them but, they need the protein.

        They use Informal sanctions because they get a challenge and if u succeed then you get a reward but, if you don't finish the challenge on time you don't get the reward. Also, who works the most in the week and shows good character you a reward which is a gold star worth 20,000 dollars. If you are nice and help out you get rewarded with respect from others. If you get  the gold star you get to call your parents which is another  reward.

      They use Ethnocentrism because a lot of the kids are judging based on others. For example, the little kids are like the big kids are going to win because they are older and look stronger. Also, everyone pushes and thinks they are better than the yellow team because they are the little kids and think they are better. Then, the kids judge other by saying since hes older then he must be stronger but that's not true, you can be little and still be strong.

My favorite animal...

  My favorite animal is pandas, they are so adorable. Did you know that pandas are about to come extinct? I don't know why people would want to hurt pandas. I love it how they are so small when they are babies, and how they are so furry. Most pandas are black and white and they eat bamboos. The red pandas and giant pandas are found in China and other places too.

Kid Nation 2

    I think that in the show that these kids use class conflict because there are a lot of different kids from different classes all trying to live the pioneer live. Since they all live in different lifestyles its harder for others. Also, on the first day no one is getting along because its the first day and you're meeting new people.

 The leader council use power because they have control over the other kids. The leader council decide all the choices for all the kids.Like how the leaders decided to split the kids in to four groups and who sleeps where. Also, how they are bringing all the kids to work together.

 They use symbol in this show in the beginning of this episode. They all had wore yellow,green,red and blue based on what team you were on. Then you had to take a challenge against the other colors and who ever one who be the upper class then, merchants,cleaning,poor. What ever place your team came in you would have one of those jobs and the color represent what team you were on and job you had.

              I love to Scary movies, my favorite scary movie is Apporition. It's about a girl who stays at her moms house and to find out the house is haunted. The movie isn't that scary, but what really scared me most was that it is based on a true story. My favorite thing to do is draw. I love to draw animals,cartoon characters and etc. I have a big family, I have 3 brothers one half, one step and a real brother. Also, i live with my mom and I have one half sister.

       A few years ago I went on vacation and we went to Florida. We went to some kind of aqurium and you would walk in and there was a huge tank above you with sharks in it. I never been so close to a shark before, I got so scared but my family kept telling me that the shark cant break through the glass. At the end their was a little store and I got a shark tooth.

     Activities I love to do in technology class is to learn new things like learning to start a blog. There is a lot of things I don't  know about technology that I hope I get to learn in this class. I would love to learn how to edit and make cool things on a computer. Those are some things i know or would like to learn in technology.

Do video games make kids violent????

 

I think that video games don't make kids more violent because most of the time in video games are there are make believe things that kids now these days know arn't real. most things in video games are edited and look realistic, but dosn't affect a way a kid should act. The reason we may not have zombie-slaying miners because it might be more intense to kids depending on how its made.

Kid Nation

        I think that Kid Nation is great because it is teaching kids to work together, but kids their age still need adults at time and they might realize that at points. They will learn responsibility and leadership. They all seem pretty nervous and the younger ones shouldn't have to do this. One reason that it isn't a good idea is that when someone gets hurt there isn't an adult there to help them. They are having trouble with food because they need to feed 40 kids. On the other hand they are learning what parents have to deal with.

         It's day two and they have already had many problems. They are fighting, but they are learning to live together and deal with it. I think that separating them into groups will work because each group can focus on something. I think the board of jobs will help stabilize the town.

         Now that they have jobs they will get more done. I'm glad that they picked outhouses because if they went with the TV nothing would get down. So far the jobs are going well. If it was me I would stay because I want to be able to say that I helped build the town. I sort of expected Jimmy to leave because from the very beginning he was missing home and he was having a really tough time. I think Sophie deserved the star because she tried really hard and she really persevered to get that bike and helps out a lot. This was a really great show.

         

Softball

Softball season is starting and I have my first practice tonight. For the first couple weeks we go to the cages. My team consists of a bunch of my friends so it will be great to play with them again. Practice starts at 5 so I have to hurry up and get there after track I can't wait. My friends parents coach our team and they always push me really hard. Every time I step up to the plate it feels amazing; I feel alive. Softball is probably my second favorite sport after basketball.

What really bugs me

The thing that really bugs me is when people say my last name wrong. I mean it really isn't that hard. Well, my last name is pronounced like Coke as in the drink not coach. Every substitute that I have had has pronounced it wrong. My friends do it to get on my nerves and when people call and ask for my parents, but pronounce the name wrong I say that they have the wrong number. This really really bugs me.

My favorite movie of all time is Taken. It's about a girl that went on a trip with her friend to celebrate graduating high school, but when they got there little did they know people were tracking them. The men kidnapped the two girls. One of the girls called her dad who was a retired secret agent, and he flew out there to save them. He knew all of the tricks to tracking someone done. Will he make it in time?

Who Is Special?

People who do something good for our society or someone else are special. To me people who don't do good things, don't deserve to be called special. Also, if you have saved another person from something you are special. There are many special people in this world, but not everyone is special. If everyone was special than nobody would stand out. If you have survived a life threatening case, then you are special.

Basketball

I love basketball! I have played it since I was 4, and I have loved it ever since I started. Whenever I'm on the court it feels like I'm in a different world. If I had a bad day, I can left it all go on the court. I'm am never happy with how good I am because I know I can always get better. I want to be the best I can be at basketball or anything else. My coaches have always been supportive of me and they say I'm harder on myself than they are and I know it's true.

Seven doors stand in front of me all the same except for one that had a big W on it so I went through. I dropped down into an amazing place the sign at the beginning of a road said Welcome To Wonderland. There were all sorts of wonderful plants and animals all were very odd. Then a strange creature came up to me and started talking to me he was saying stuff about an evil queen of hearts and that they needed me to stop her from harming their land. I didn't know what to say.

Remembering Life as a Kid

One thing I hope I don't forget about being this age is how much fun I have with my friends. Sometimes I wonder if my parents forget how much fun they had as a kid and that kids want to have fun. People usually get boring when they get older and i don't want to end up like that. I never want to forget my friends when I get older. I want to have a job that allows me to enjoy my life as I do as a kid.

Norwegian Millionaires

 

Norwegian families found out that they were worth millions on January 9. The pension fund is invested in the taxes of oil refiners. The Norwegians have so much money that they are called paper millionaires. We don't have this much money because of taxes. Plus gas prices keep going up.

Insane Waterslide

Verrückt is the world's biggest waterslide located at Schlitterbahn Water Park in Kansas City, Missouri and was designed by Jeff Henry. It is even bigger than the world record holder, which is Brazil's Insano. While the Insano is 14-stories high, Verrückt is 17-stories high. 'Wizard of Water', or Jeff Henry, has made many strange attractions. I would love to go on this ride because I love rollercoasters and I also love waterslides and this insane waterslide is like both of them combined.

Micro Windmills

 

Jung-Chih Chiao is a professor at the University of Texas that has created a microscopic windmill. Jung-Chih Chiao and Smitha Rao made it so that this tiny windmills, with a 1.8 millimeter width, could power sensors and night lights. The micro windmills can handle very strong winds. 100 windmills can make enough power for you to make an emergency phone call and possibly save your life. these tiny windmills will soon be open to the public.
